This design was found in a row of elegant early 18th century houses in Broadwick Street, Soho. Remarkably, it is based on a botanically correct representation of a plant, the Clusia Rosea, the earliest mention of which is found in Robert Catesby's famous 1743 book, The Natural History of Carolina, Florida and the Bahama Islands.
