Thicker, slubbed yarns run as horizontal lines across the cloth, at varying intervals and in different thicknesses. Between them lie bands with a looser binding, where small openings appear in the weave. There is no fixed motif. What you see is yarn, binding and the rhythm that emerges from them. That irregularity makes the surface lively, even up close.

Colours of Idlewilde fabric: Avorio in off-white and sand

Avorio is the only colourway. The base is off-white and cream, with a hint of light beige here and there. The lines in the weave range from sandy to taupe: just dark enough to reveal the structure, without creating contrast. As a result, you read the fabric as texture rather than as a field of color. Alongside light oak, chalk paint or unfinished wood, it is above all the slubs that stand out, especially when raking light falls across the surface.

Dedar fabric with irregular lines in a light space

Because there is no fixed repeat, a larger expanse of Idlewilde fabric looks like one continuous texture rather than a pattern. The open-worked bands come into their own where daylight falls, for example near a window. In a light interior with natural materials, the fabric brings calm without the whole space feeling bare.
