greta-stof-elitis
Greta fabric

Greta fabric by Elitis with a flamed bouclé texture

Greta fabric has a surface you want to touch first and only look at afterwards. Short, irregular dashes run horizontally through the weave, as if the yarn changes color here and there. In between, small loops curl up, giving the fabric a soft relief that catches the light. There is no repeating motif: the dashes are a few centimetres long and shift position each time. As a result, a wide curtain looks like one continuous surface full of movement, without you seeing a pattern recur.

Colours of Greta fabric: from ecru to camel

Greta comes in four colourways. Colour 1 is ecru with light gray-beige dashes and suits anyone mainly looking for texture. Colour 8 sets cream against ochre and camel brown, warmer and more visible from a distance. In the mood photo you can see how the fabric with dark brown dashes works in a living room with tall windows. That contrast picks up the wood of the floor and ties in with the dark grasscloth wall beside it, while the light base keeps the room feeling open. This Elitis fabric warms up a window wall without making it feel heavy.

Greta fabric by Elitis as curtains and upholstery

In the photo the fabric falls in long, loose folds from ceiling to floor, and it is precisely in those folds that the relief of the loops comes into its own. Combine it with light furniture and natural tones, such as the beige corner sofa and white coffee table in this room. As upholstery, the texture can be felt up close.
