The fields are semi-translucent, so the underlying layers remain visible. Here and there an edge runs off at an angle or is torn, pushing the rows slightly out of plumb. At the top, everything fades into a light haze. Towards the bottom, the fields become darker and more sharply defined. The design reads as one continuous panel image, with no repeat for the eye to pick out.

Colourways of Sunveils wallpaper: Ruggine Oro and Grigio Oro

In Ruggine Oro the wall starts at the top in cream and ivory. It then moves into ochre and golden yellow, turns salmon pink and dusty rose in the middle, and ends at the bottom in rust brown and terracotta. It is a warm gradient reminiscent of weathered metal and fired earth. Grigio Oro keeps the cream and a band of mustard and ochre gold, but below that it fades to light gray and ends in dark gray to taupe. Cooler and calmer, with that golden band as a horizon.

Inkiostro Bianco wallpaper with a collage look on the wall

The imagery reads like a painted collage, with watercolour-like washes, a fine grain and a subtle texture that resembles linen or paper. Because the gradient is darkest at the bottom, the wall gains weight near the floor and stays light towards the ceiling. The design therefore calls for an uninterrupted wall where the entire gradient remains visible.
