On the left, a smaller flower sits on a stem with serrated leaves. At the top right, a much larger flower head opens up and partly disappears out of frame. A grid of thin lines runs over everything, like graph paper, with scattered measuring marks and specks. It feels like a working drawing that isn't quite finished.

Scale and effect of Aona wallpaper in the room

The design covers the entire wall as one continuous image, without a repeat. The large flower is wider than a double bed, and the small one reaches from the headboard to well above it. Behind a bed or sofa, it works as a calm backdrop that you only fully take in up close. The lines stay light, and the background does most of the work. The cloudy patches and the soft linen-like texture give the wall depth without making it busy.

Two colourways of Aona wallpaper: petrol and taupe

In colourway 01, light gray to white lines sit on a dark gray-green that leans towards petrol, like chalk on a blackboard. It suits a brown upholstered bed and a green pouffe, as in the bedroom in the mood photo. Colourway 02 reverses this: dark gray pencil lines on a warm gray-taupe, softer and lighter in the room. There is also a third colourway, 03.
