The panels overlap semi-transparently, as if lengths of fabric were hanging in front of the wall. Some are darker, others lighter, and where they meet, depth is created. At the bottom, a bare, light strip of wall remains uncovered. As a result, the image seems to float above your sideboard or table rather than running all the way down to the floor.

Imagery and scale of Lorena wallpaper

It is one large image across the entire wall, with no pattern repeat. The trees are drawn in an engraving-like line style and appear life-size or slightly smaller, so you almost feel as if you are standing among the trunks. A woven texture resembling linen lies over the panels. This gives the wall a soft, textile-like quality, even up close. The drawing has a classic feel, while the block-like composition makes it contemporary. That combination comes into its own in a high-ceilinged dining room or library.

Colourways of INSTABILELAB Lorena wallpaper

Lorena is available in three colourways. In 01, gray-green, olive, taupe and beige flow over an off-white background. This version pairs well with travertine, terracotta and gold-colored metal, as the dining area in the mood photo shows. Colour 02 renders the same forest in shades of gray from light gray to anthracite — cooler in tone, and beautiful with black furniture and concrete.
