osterbro-behang-sandberg
Osterbro wallpaper

Osterbro wallpaper by Sandberg with black-and-white blocks in a marble look

Osterbro wallpaper sets broad black and white bands at right angles to each other, creating blocks that grow smaller and smaller towards the center. The motif is large: just a few of these nested squares and rectangles fill a good stretch of wall. This gives the wall depth and direction, almost like a maze you're looking into. A fine marble texture with thin veins runs through both colors, giving the crisp graphic planes a stone look without the pattern losing its clarity.

Colourway Black of Osterbro wallpaper

In the colourway Black, deep black with gray veins contrasts with white to light gray with soft gray veining. That contrast is pronounced, so give it room. White or off-white paint on the ceiling and window frames keeps things calm, while matt black metal picks up the dark bands. Warm walnut or oak provides a counterbalance, as does real natural stone in gray or white. Textiles in linen, gray or natural, soften the overall look. You don't need a bright accent color.

Where Sandberg wallpaper with this pattern works best

Thanks to its large scale, Osterbro wallpaper looks best on a single wall that catches the eye straight away: behind a bed, in a hallway or in a toilet where you want a small space to stand out. In a bathroom it works above wainscoting. Whereas made-to-measure wallpaper ties you to one wall size, this pattern continues across any width.
