Assuming the correct proportion and texture quality of 'Broad Stripe' wallpaper from Little Greene, each runway in this more complex version consists of 42 'pen stripes'. At first glance, this creates a sharper, more contemporary look, and up close, this is enhanced even further. Given its finer proportions, it has been virtually impossible to print this design before the advent of the surface printing roller, around 1840.
