Thick and thin threads intermingle, and in wide horizontal bands the weave pulls apart: small openings, shifted threads, areas where the fabric becomes lighter. The edges fray slightly. There is no repeating pattern, only texture that continues across the entire surface. It looks like loosely woven linen in which a thread catches the light here and there, as if a thin layer of metal lies over it.

Colours of Lakmé fabric: Argento and Oro Vecchio

There are two colourways. Argento is light grey, almost off-white, with threads that shimmer silver as soon as light falls on them. Oro Vecchio is warmer: a sand-coloured base through which cream and pale gold glimmer. In both versions the colour variation stays subtle, so the texture does the work. You only truly see the sheen as you walk past or as the daylight shifts. Choose Argento for cool grey tones in your space and Oro Vecchio alongside wood, terracotta or warm white.

Dedar fabric for light and texture at home

Because the weave opens up in places, Lakmé fabric plays with the light that falls through it. In front of a window, the lighter bands appear as a soft horizontal rhythm, without a pattern drawing attention. A calm room gains depth this way, while the colour remains understated.
