Up close you can see how these slubs are just slightly lighter or darker than the ground, so the surface never lies completely still. There is no motif and no pattern repeat. The texture runs evenly along the entire length of the fabric. From a distance the fabric reads as a single warm colour, and only as you come closer do the fine lines appear. This irregular play of yarns recalls Thai silk, only more understated.

Colours of Tal fabric: Alabastro and Bronzo

This Dedar fabric comes in two colourways. Alabastro is off-white to cream, shot through with pale yellow, straw-yellow lines that give the whole a sunny undertone. Bronzo is sand beige to light brown, with ochre-brown and cream stripes that bring out the relief of the rib more strongly. Both colours are calm enough to combine with wood, stone or a plain wall, yet have more depth than a flat plain. Choose Alabastro for a light room and Bronzo if you are looking for warmth.

Tal fabric by Dedar in your interior

Because there is no pattern to align, this fabric works just as well on a large surface as on a single cushion. As a curtain, the fine ribs stand out in daylight. On a sofa or headboard you feel the texture under your hand, precisely where you touch it. The fabric comes from Italy and pairs well with other plain weaves from the Dedar fabric collection.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0254/6971/4512/files/dedar-tal-stof-2-selected-wallpapers.jpg?v=1790966100
