Flat, round bundles of yarn lie side by side in a basket weave, held in place by finer threads. Up close, you can see each individual nub. From a few metres away, the texture merges into a finely speckled surface. It is a fabric you want to touch, precisely because the surface has such distinct relief. With it, Elitis has created an upholstery fabric for those who want calm without it ever feeling flat.

Colours of Sven fabric: from ecru to mottled taupe

In colourway 2, everything is cream. The nubs and the connecting threads share the same ecru shade, so the texture speaks mainly through light and shadow. Colourway 5 works differently. Off-white nubs sit on greige threads, giving the surface a light, mottled depth and bringing out the weave more sharply. There are also colourways 21 and 47, so you can choose from four variants. The piping draws a crisp line around the calm weave. Alongside striped curtains and a light wall, Sven fabric stays in the background, while the nubs stand out clearly in the side light from the window. On a sofa, a headboard or loose cushions, this understated texture works just as well.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0254/6971/4512/files/elitis-sven-stof-3-selected-wallpapers.jpg?v=1790948153
