It looks like a weave of flat strips. Thin diagonal lines fill the space between the crosses and give the weave a sense of direction. Each cross is roughly the size of a hand, so across the width of a bathroom wall you will count about ten. Up close you see plain areas of colour with a light grain. From a distance it reads as one continuous texture.

Colours of Intreccio wallpaper: from Dusty Lime to Dark Peach

The design comes in eight colourways, each in an A and a B version: Dusty Lime, Sage, Eucalyptus Blue and Dark Peach. In Dusty Lime A, cream crosses sit on a grey background, crossed by greige bands and fine yellow lines. The overall effect stays calm. Dusty Lime B reverses the balance: lemon-yellow areas within a grey grid of bands, with cream crosses that light up. The mood photo shows a warm version with a pink background, dark aubergine crosses and ochre bands.

Inkiostro Bianco wallpaper behind a freestanding bath

In the mood photo, the design covers the back wall of a bathroom, behind a freestanding white bath with a gold tap. The small grid gives the wall rhythm and makes the white bath and the wooden stool stand out sharply. A geometric pattern at this scale works well on a single wall, while you keep the other walls plain.
