Longer, narrow stripes run between the blocks. Each column starts and stops at its own height. This creates open areas where the eye can briefly rest. The design covers one continuous surface without a visible pattern repeat, so your wall reads as a single composition rather than a pattern that keeps announcing itself over and over.

Colours of Tracce Metropolitane wallpaper: Gesso, Fango and Polvere

In Gesso, white blocks sit on an off-white background. The contrast is so low that the design mainly reads up close. From a distance it blends into a calm, plastered surface. Fango reverses that balance. On a mottled taupe to greyish-brown background, pale pinkish-grey blocks clearly stand out. Polvere is the third colourway. In both colourways shown, the blocks and stripes have a scratched, brushed texture, as if they had been drawn into the concrete-like background.

Inkiostro Bianco wallpaper on a full wall in the living room

In the room shot, the blocks are a few centimetres high and the stripes run on for tens of centimetres. Behind a black leather daybed and a brown leather sofa, this gives the wall a clear vertical direction. The light Gesso shade makes the dark leather and the black marble of the coffee table stand out beautifully.
