The leaf edges run diagonally across the image, serrated and clearly outlined against a light background. It is one continuous photograph across the entire wall, without repetition. Thanks to the soft focus and fine grain, the image feels more like the memory of a landscape than a plant photo. This gives an empty wall depth without making it busy.

Colours of Maguey wallpaper by INSTABILELAB

Colourway 01 keeps things light: off-white, beige and light grey, with the leaves overlapping as soft lines of shadow. Colourway 02 shows a different crop. On the right, a star-shaped leaf rosette fans out in grey-green, with dark brown shadows between the leaf tips, while on the left a vertical leaf edge with spines frames the surface. The background is beige-cream, which gives the dark accents more weight. It remains a calm image, but with more contrast than 01. Colourway 03 completes the trio.

Maguey wallpaper in a lobby or hallway

In the mood photo, the design features in a lobby with a wooden slatted wall, a grid ceiling and a light tiled floor. The leaves run across the full width of the wall, behind two round armchairs, and return on the back wall beside a wooden bench with a vase full of branches. Wood, jute and light tiles suit it well, as the image itself calls for little colour.
