PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Lilaz fabric by Dedar: A tactile landscape full of movement and meaning

Dedar's Lilaz fabric is a visual and tactile experience. A flocked motif reminiscent of Japanese clouds, ridges or East Asian ink landscapes unfolds on an irregular Panama weave. The shapes are fluid and abstract, as if they adapt to the rhythm of the material. The result is a fluctuating pattern that evokes emotions: tranquility, movement and refinement captured in a single image.

Thanks to the artisanal screen printing technique, the design is applied with precision and depth, bringing every detail to life without losing its serenity.

Craftsmanship and texture in harmony

Lilaz is made up of contrasting layers that flow seamlessly into each other. The velvety flock print rests on the Minima Mirabilia base fabric: a subtly mottled textile with a light sheen, fine irregularity and discreet metallic accents. This combination creates a rare rich surface that feels natural and luxurious at the same time.

Dedar: Art and craft in balance

With Lilaz, Dedar once again shows that it is possible to unite textiles and poetry. The balance between technique, material and artistic expression is central. The flock print is not just a decoration, but a story in layers, made tangible by Italian craftsmanship.

Experience the refinement of textile art with Lilaz by Dedar – Where fabric and landscape meet.

Personal advice for curtain and furniture fabrics

Unsure about the right color, fabric texture, or combination with your interior? Our Selected Wallpapers team of interior and upholstery specialists is happy to help you with personalized advice.

In our Studio in Montfoort you can feel and experience the different fabrics and textures for yourself, from subtle linen to rich velvet.

Visit our Studio (by appointment) for color advice, material comparisons, and combination tips, or contact us for a personalized proposal.

Together we'll find the fabric that perfectly suits your interior — whether it's elegant curtains, comfortable furniture fabrics, or stylish wallpaper.

Maintenance of curtain and furniture fabrics

To keep your curtains looking beautiful for a long time, regular and careful maintenance is important.

Avoid direct sunlight as much as possible, as this can cause discoloration over time. TIP! Make sure your curtains are lined; this protects the main fabric.

For light soiling, you can freshen up the fabric with a slightly damp cloth. Do not use cleaning agents or excessive water. Always treat stains carefully and test any cleaner on an inconspicuous area of the fabric first.

Recommended maintenance products:

For curtain fabrics we recommend James products:

  • James Interior Cleaner – suitable for both natural and synthetic fabrics. Ideal for freshening curtains without damaging the fiber structure.
  • James Stain Wonder – helps remove stains, for example from contact or air pollution.

Apply the product to a white terrycloth towel, not directly onto the fabric, and dab gently. Let the fabric dry naturally, preferably out of direct sunlight.

Maintenance of furniture fabric

Furniture fabrics such as chair, sofa and cushion covers require regular care for a long life and a fresh appearance.

Vacuum the surface weekly with a soft brush attachment to remove dirt, hair, and dust. Rotate cushions regularly to prevent uneven wear and tear, and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.

In case of stains, it's important to act quickly: blot immediately with a clean, slightly damp cloth (do not rub). For safe and effective cleaning, use James products, specially developed for upholstery fabrics:

  • James Interior Cleaner – freshens furniture upholstery and removes light soiling without damaging the fibers.
  • James Stain Wonder – ideal for removing stains caused by drinks, food remains or pets.

For a thorough cleaning or to remove stubborn stains, it's wise to have the fabric professionally cleaned. This will keep the fabric beautiful, supple, and fresh-colored.

Made to measure - your curtains made to measure

Every fabric tells its own story—from a subtly woven linen to a rich, full velvet. In our studio at Oostendorp Stoffering, that story comes to life. Here, the fabrics are carefully crafted into beautiful, custom-made curtains that perfectly complement your interior.

Our craftspeople dedicate themselves to their craft. They pay attention to every detail: the pleat, the lining, the finish—nothing is left to chance. Whether you choose airy linen curtains that softly filter daylight or heavy fabrics that bring warmth and tranquility, we ensure that every curtain drapes precisely as intended.

You can experience the fabrics for yourself at our Montfoort studio. We're happy to advise you on the perfect style, pleat, and finish, ensuring the perfect look for your space. Once your choice is finalized, the fabric is carefully crafted in our studio—with an eye for quality, craftsmanship, and a finish you can both see and feel.

The result? Curtains that not only hang beautifully but also add ambiance, comfort, and character to your interior.
