Aurora wallpaper by 1838 wallcoverings: hummingbirds, feathers and weathered textures

Aurora wallpaper by 1838 wallcoverings brings together two types of walls. On one side are drawn patterns with hummingbirds, flowers, feathers and forest. On the other side are abstract textures that resemble old paint, pebbles and grasscloth. The colours remain muted: grey-green, cream, grey-blue, pink and copper, often with a sheen or metallic layer that catches the light. This way you can place a figurative pattern on one wall and a calm texture on the adjacent wall, without them clashing.

Patterns in the Aurora wallpaper collection

Hummingbird wallpaper shows hummingbirds among five-petalled flowers and feathered leaves. They are drawn in fine lines with hatching, in grey-green and light beige on a cream-white, slightly glossy background. Tranquil wallpaper revolves around overlapping feathers: a matte black drawing over a metallic gold base. The eponymous Aurora wallpaper is botanical, in forest green and green-blue on a soft glossy ground. Glade wallpaper captures a forest with sunlight between the treetops, in teal brushstrokes with touches of mandarin orange. More subdued are Patina wallpaper, a grid of irregular squares with a peeling paint effect in grey-blue, silver-grey and white, and Pebble wallpaper, with interlocking shapes modelled on pebbles. Raffia wallpaper completes the range with a soft grey grasscloth texture.

Aurora by 1838 wallcoverings in the hallway and living room

In the photos, Hummingbird and Patina hang in the same hallway, with a grey newel post, white spindles and a jute mat. The grey-green drawing and the grey-blue grid both suit those cool tones. In the living room, a feather wall sits next to a weathered grid in pink and copper, with a beige sofa and a woven leather chair in front of it. With 1838 wallcoverings wallpaper you can easily combine a drawn wall with an abstract one.
