Country Woodland wallpaper collection Sanderson

Country Woodland wallpaper by Sanderson: birds, leaves and checks

With Country Woodland wallpaper, you bring the English woodland and garden indoors. In this collection, Sanderson brings together birds among branches, grasses and blossom, complemented by checks, stripes and trellis patterns that give the imagery a calmer feel. The patterns shown have a light background, ranging from cream to off-white. This keeps a wall light, even when the pattern is full of woodpeckers, tits and oak leaves. You can combine a large painted pattern in the hall with a small check in another room. This way, the rooms feel connected without looking alike.

Patterns in the Country Woodland wallpaper collection

The eye-catcher is Woodland Chorus wallpaper. Birch-like branches with oak leaves and catkins hold green woodpeckers, robins and blue tits at their nest, rendered large in a painterly style. Tuileries wallpaper is smaller in scale, with grey grass stems and hummingbirds in blue, ochre and rust brown. Chestnut Tree wallpaper shows horse chestnut blossom in watercolour with pencil lines, and Meadow Canvas wallpaper features silhouettes of pressed grass. You'll find flowers in an ogee trellis in Aubrey wallpaper, and a trellis with floral detail in Fairdown wallpaper. For a calm wall, choose Gingham wallpaper, a light blue check with a visible twill structure. If you want more rhythm, go for the bold stripe of Sherwood stripe wallpaper. This range also includes Spring Leaves wallpaper, Rye wallpaper, Tapestry trees wallpaper, Tomato leaf wallpaper, Fabienne wallpaper, Everly wallpaper and Florrie wallpaper.

Sanderson wallpaper from Country Woodland in the hallway and bedroom

The images show how the patterns behave in a space. In a hallway with rough wood, terracotta pots and wicker baskets, the green of Woodland Chorus is echoed in the lamp and the skirting board. Tuileries hangs on one wall of an attic bedroom, behind a bed with a wicker headboard and an ochre yellow cushion that repeats the ochre of the birds. This shows how Country Woodland wallpaper gives a room colour while leaving space for everything else in it.
