Fornasetti wallpaper collection Cole & Son

Fornasetti wallpaper by Cole & Son: fish, clouds and engraved images

Fornasetti wallpaper is recognisable by its drawing style: fine lines, dots and hatching that resemble a coloured engraving. In this collection by Cole & Son, this style is applied to different subjects. Pufferfish and porcupinefish swim in ochre, orange and pink across an anthracite wall. Elsewhere, a cloudy sky fills the entire wall, in grey and white or in a gradient from light blue to pink and lilac. Other patterns bring walking sticks, keys, owls and oranges to the wall. You first choose an image and then a colour.

Fornasetti by Cole & Son in bathroom and bedroom

In the lifestyle images, Acquario hangs in a bathroom above pink fish-scale tiles, with a terracotta basin and a brass tap that pick up the orange tones of the fish. Nuvolette fills a bedroom with a blue-edged arched niche and blue panelling with rosettes. Nuvole Al Tramonto sits behind a dark wooden chair and a gilded mirror frame. If you combine your Fornasetti wallpaper, choose a plain colour below the dado rail—the pattern above holds the attention.
