Galerie wallpaper by Elitis: architecture as wall pattern

With the Galerie wallpaper by Elitis, your wall takes on the structure of a building. Arches stand in rows one above the other, shelves carry rows of book spines, stars and squares form a geometric grid. Each motif is executed tone-on-tone, so that the form becomes tangible before you see it. The dark variants have a velvet-like, mottled texture that keeps the surface lively, while the light linen versions play with relief. From a distance the wall looks graphic, up close it gains depth. You see a pattern, but you read a building.

Patterns in the Galerie wallpaper collection

Colisée wallpaper puts rows of arches on a large scale against the wall, like the arcades of the Colosseum: tall arches alternate with lower rows, separated by horizontal bands. In dark petrol green it forms a deep background for ochre yellow and white. Boudoir wallpaper exchanges the arches for a bookcase. On horizontal shelves stand vertical bars of varying width and height, tone-on-tone in dark brown to almost black. Orange furniture and chrome stand out sharply against it. Boudoir Lin wallpaper shows the same bookcase in off-white, as relief on linen, so that you read the pattern mainly in the shadows of the raised lines. Hélios wallpaper and Hélios Lin wallpaper work with a geometric design of stars and squares, one in textile, the other in linen.

Combining Galerie by Elitis in bedroom and living room

This Elitis wallpaper comes into its own next to a clear contrasting colour. Against the petrol-green arches of Colisée, an ochre-yellow bedspread and white bedside tables light up, and in front of the dark bookcase of Boudoir, orange armchairs do the same. The light Boudoir Lin calls for colour in glass and for green, such as purple and amber bottles next to an olive branch. If you choose a dark variant, the wall becomes the backdrop. If you choose a light one, it lets your belongings speak.
