Hanji wallpaper by Elitis: blocks, grids and lines on paper

Hanji wallpaper by Elitis revolves around blocks and lines that have visibly been set by hand. Every pattern in this collection is made of paper and starts from a light, neutral base in beige, cream or off-white. On top of this, Elitis builds a different rhythm each time. Sometimes loose shapes stack up into columns, sometimes a grid divides the wall into panels. The stroke or scratch always remains visible, giving your wall a tactile character. This makes the collection just as suitable for a calm dining area as for a seating area where sunlight falls across the lines.

Patterns in the Hanji wallpaper collection

Takara wallpaper stands out with large, rounded block shapes in metallic gold, stacked into vertical columns. Thin rust-red contour lines outline them, while the beige background fades towards the bottom into peach and terracotta. Koshi wallpaper opts for a strict grid of squares, each with its own relief of vertical, horizontal or diagonal grooves. Cream dominates, with a taupe sheen here and there. Nishino wallpaper is more graphic: black brushstrokes on off-white form rectangles and are partly interrupted or offset. In Noto wallpaper, geometric panels fit together like inlay work, with metallic effects in gold. Finally, Toshima wallpaper plays with circles in alternating colour combinations.

Combining Hanji by Elitis in your dining or seating area

Thanks to its neutral base, Hanji by Elitis combines beautifully with natural materials. Takara pairs well with terracotta and ceramics, which pick up the warm lower section of the pattern. Koshi comes into its own alongside dark wood, against which the cream panels stand out in light contrast. If you choose Nishino, black metal and light upholstery reinforce the graphic grid. Light falling in from the side makes the lines and grooves on every Hanji wallpaper especially visible.
