Iles Enchantees wallpaper collection Pierre Frey

Iles Enchantees wallpaper by Pierre Frey with cut-out shapes

Iles Enchantees wallpaper consists of flat shapes with irregular edges, as if someone cut them from coloured paper with scissors. This handmade line runs through the entire collection. The difference lies in what happens to that line: in Tuamotu it forms a grid of rectangles, in Rangiroa loose plant silhouettes on white, in Tamatoa a dense ornament in two tones. You choose between graphic calm, a wall full of colour and a pattern with the texture of a woven cloth. Leaves, palms and trees recur in many Iles Enchantees patterns by Pierre Frey.

Patterns in the Iles Enchantees wallpaper collection

Tuamotu wallpaper places olive green and cream rectangles in rows on a salmon pink background, each panel with cut-out pointed ovals. Tehea wallpaper remains abstract, with exotic accents. Rangiroa wallpaper scatters branches, leaves and small birds in orange, turquoise, lilac and yellow over a white base. Tikehau wallpaper and Makemo wallpaper revolve around palm leaves: the first in a playful rhythm, the second as a woven pattern. Grenadier wallpaper depicts a forest of pomegranate trees in two colours with white outlines. Salvador wallpaper, a design by Jean Jacques Ory, shows exuberant flora with a metallic sheen. Tamatoa wallpaper is based on a 1950s drawing from the Pierre Frey archives. Serrated leaf shapes and zigzag edges fill square panels in dark brown, cream or ochre.

Combining Iles Enchantees wallpaper in your home

In the images, Tuamotu hangs behind a pink sofa with a wooden side table and a rope pouf, and the olive green is echoed in the cushions. Rangiroa is shown behind a bed with a yellow bedspread under a wooden pergola, where sunlight makes the colours even brighter. Combine Tamatoa with bamboo, raffia and wooden bowls. Pierre Frey wallpaper from this range calls for natural materials and understated furniture that lets the wall take centre stage.
