Lanai wallpaper collection Arte

Lanai wallpaper by Arte: banana plants, rattan and wickerwork

The Lanai wallpaper by Arte brings the tropics indoors through materials you know from a veranda: woven cane, rattan and raffia, translated into patterns on the wall. The colours stay earthy, from terracotta red and camel to green with ochre accents. Within the collection, scale plays the main role. One pattern fills an entire wall with plants reaching to the ceiling, while another reads as a texture up close. In this way, Lanai by Arte lets you compose a space in which large and small motifs alternate.

Patterns in the Lanai wallpaper collection

The most striking pattern is Kailua wallpaper. You see stylised banana plants with long straight stems and sharply angled leaves, filled with parallel lines like strips of cane. The cream-beige design is set against a speckled terracotta-red background. Maui wallpaper places palm leaves on the wall. Smaller and more abstract is Kona wallpaper, a dense field of irregular rectangles and trapezoids with fine hatching, tone-on-tone in camel with a slight sheen. Puna wallpaper resembles a woven mat of small blocks, green with ochre and gold. Mauna wallpaper arranges small pieces of rattan in a playful pattern. All the patterns refer to woven natural materials. They differ in the distance at which you recognise the pattern.

Combining Arte wallpaper from Lanai with wood and terracotta

The mood images show how the patterns interact with a space. Kailua runs up to the ceiling in a dining area, above a red corner sofa and a round stone table. Kona gives the wall behind a beige sofa a calm sense of movement. Puna fills a wall next to an arched doorway with green. Wood, rattan and terracotta go well with this Arte wallpaper. With Lanai wallpaper, you first choose the scale: a motif that fills the view or a texture that reveals itself up close.
