Lanzarote wallpaper Elitis

Lanzarote wallpaper by Elitis: waves, stone and bark

The Lanzarote wallpaper by Elitis draws its visual language from the landscape of the volcanic island: erosion, rock, weathered walls. You won't find figurative motifs in it. What you will find are lines that all run horizontally, like layers in a rock face. Sometimes these are broad waves in ochre and honey, other times a fine green texture like natural stone or irregular stripes like birch bark. This shared direction links the patterns, while scale and colour clearly set them apart. This way, within a single collection, you can choose between a wall that makes a statement and a wall that stays in the background.

Patterns in the Lanzarote wallpaper collection

Calero wallpaper consists of waves of visible brushstrokes, on a large scale: one wave easily spans half a metre. Ochre, honey and amber alternate with lighter cream bands, so that a corner wall reads as one continuous surface. Calero Metal wallpaper has the same undulating line pattern, with a metallic texture. Travertin wallpaper works on a small scale instead: an even, horizontally striped texture in dark green with light green speckles, which up close resembles stone or fibres. Scorza wallpaper sits in between, with irregular stripes like birch bark in off-white and grey, crossed by black-grey lines and ochre-gold flecks. Monumenta wallpaper shows a layered structure that evokes weathered rock formations, Terres emmelees wallpaper lets lines and shapes merge into each other and Palazzo wallpaper plays with soft gradations, as if sunlight moves across a wall.

Combining Elitis wallpaper with wood, stone and textiles

This Elitis wallpaper comes into its own next to materials with a texture of their own. Calero features in a dining area with a rough-hewn wooden table, a built-in bench full of cushions and an arched niche with candelabras. Travertin is paired with wrought-iron side tables and a wooden floor, Scorza with corduroy, brass and stone tiles. Because the Lanzarote wallpaper collection does without motifs, your furniture remains the focus and the wall gives it depth.
