Lin Plâtré wallpaper collection Elitis

Lin Plâtré wallpaper by Elitis: textured linen for the wall

Lin Plâtré wallpaper brings linen to the wall in plain wall coverings without a pattern. In this collection, Elitis lets the texture do the work: a fine weave, an irregular thread, pleats that catch the light. The colours stay close to the earth, from sand beige and taupe to grey-brown, with gold or black in some designs. So the wall doesn't draw attention with a pattern, but with the way the surface responds to light. A beam of light falling at an angle or a lamp next to the sofa already shows how much relief there is.

Designs in the Lin Plâtré wallpaper collection

Innocent wallpaper has the quietest texture: a fine, even weave in taupe to grey-brown, with a light plaster-like relief. Behind a dark wooden stool with a speckled ceramic vase, it's especially that warm colour that stands out. Lin métallisé wallpaper is more loosely woven, with slubs running horizontally and vertically through the beige-grey, and a golden sheen that lights up where the light falls. Himalaya wallpaper is linen that has been shrunk by heat, creating fine vertical pleats in sand beige that look almost brown in shadow. Muse wallpaper and Toile D'Artiste wallpaper have a different character: both are coated linen canvas. Muse has a raw look and combines gold, black and metallic. Toile D'Artiste gives the wall an aged appearance with metallic details.

Because the designs are plain, you can combine them with materials that tell their own story: rough ceramics, dark wood, a block of marble. In the images, such objects are given room to breathe. Lin Plâtré by Elitis comes into its own on a wall where light enters from the side, revealing the weave, the sheen or the pleats. If you choose a metallic variant, the wall changes with the light of the day.
