Lino wallpaper collection Arte

Lino wallpaper by Arte: plain walls with a linen structure

The Lino wallpaper by Arte is about texture instead of pattern. Each design is single-coloured and shows the woven appearance of linen up close: irregular threads, lighter accents and small slubs in the fibre. From a distance, the wall reads as one colour, yet it feels warmer than a painted wall. This calm makes the collection suitable for spaces where furniture and light can do the work. The shadow of a plant or the grazing light from a window gains relief on these surfaces, as the lifestyle photos show.

Three designs in the Lino wallpaper collection

Lignes wallpaper is ochre yellow and marked by fine horizontal fibre lines reminiscent of raffia. In the lifestyle photo, the shadow of a palm leaf falls across the wall, with a black wire chair and a brass-coloured side table in front. Gioco wallpaper has a fine cross-weave that comes closest to classic linen. Lighter threads light up against a terracotta ground, and the weave remains small-scale and even. Aspero wallpaper is coarser: a horizontal weave in anthracite with light, irregular flecks of thicker yarn. This makes it look lively and gives the wall a textile character that you can see even from a distance. Together they cover three woven textures, from tightly lined to flecked and rough.

Arte wallpaper from the Lino collection in ochre, terracotta and anthracite

Because none of the designs has a motif, colour sets the tone. Ochre and terracotta give a room warmth and pair with brass, dark red and plenty of daylight. The anthracite of Aspero, by contrast, works as a background for light materials such as natural stone, bouclé and light wood. If you want calm with depth, choose Lino wallpaper in one colour for all walls. If you're looking for contrast, place a dark and a light wall next to each other, as shown in the photo with the round table.
