Lumaterra fabric by Camengo: drawn lines in earth tones

Browsing through the Lumaterra fabric collection, you mainly see lines: arches and loops, waves that rise upwards and stripes that stand side by side as if they were painted with a brush. Camengo keeps the colour palette close to the earth, with beige, sand and caramel as a base. In between, mint green, teal and deep green appear, and in one pattern even black. Two designs are embroidered on a linen-textured base, so you can also feel the pattern. Others are more colourful and revolve around rhythm.

Patterns in the Lumaterra fabric collection by Camengo

Mira fabric shows large, curved shapes in beige cord embroidery on mint green: open loops, arches and teardrops, mirrored around a vertical axis. Short white transverse stitches make the lines look like railway tracks winding through a toy landscape. Makalu fabric is calmer. On an off-white ground, beige lines run vertically upwards, branching and crossing like stems, each accompanied by a white embroidered line. Kalahari fabric sets out irregular vertical stripes in a hand-painted rhythm, in a colourway of teal, dark green, light blue and ecru. Omeri fabric features a black base with green and beige shapes reminiscent of leaves, fans or coral, with relief and a slight sheen. Lumaterra fabric lays wavy bands in beige, sand, caramel and off-white horizontally across the cloth.

Combining Camengo fabric from the Lumaterra range

Because the patterns share the same hand-drawn line work, they combine well side by side. Hang Makalu as a curtain and choose the busier stripes of Kalahari for cushions. Mira only comes into its own when the fabric can fall generously, so the loops remain visible in the folds. Omeri works the other way around: the black background gives a seating area more depth. With its sand tones, Lumaterra by Camengo ties in with the beige lines of Mira and Makalu.
