Ortigia wallpaper by Elitis: limestone, plaster and chalk lines in dark green

Ortigia wallpaper brings the character of old limestone masonry to your walls. In the patterns shown, Elitis works with a dark green base. Sometimes it is mottled like weathered plasterwork, sometimes finely layered like natural stone. On this base, the look ranges from a calm texture to drawn wall panels with trees and tendrils. In the photos, the wallpaper hangs behind a walnut sideboard, above terracotta tiles and around an orange corner sofa. Those warm tones stand out even more against the deep green, as do ceramics, wrought iron and a bowl of quinces.

Patterns in the Ortigia wallpaper collection

Agrigente wallpaper has no recognisable motif: dark green with irregular patches of lighter green and mint, with no visible pattern repeat. A corner or an entire room becomes one continuous surface. Travertin wallpaper has a calmer rhythm, with fine horizontal stripes in grey-green that run across the wall like layered stone. Disegno wallpaper is a large-scale panoramic mural. White chalk lines draw panels, frames and cornices, featuring a fruit tree above grass, a stylised tree in an octagonal frame with a zigzag border and climbing branches on the corner wall. One panel is left empty. If you prefer a cleaner look, choose Osorno wallpaper with clear shapes and lines. Retour des Indes wallpaper shows a botanical landscape full of flowers and foliage.

Combining Ortigia by Elitis with wood and terracotta

Every pattern has relief and a whitewash effect, making the wall look as if it has been treated with lime. That makes this Elitis wallpaper well suited to spaces with natural materials. Choose Agrigente or Travertin if you're looking for a calm backdrop for wooden furniture and ceramics. Disegno turns a wall into a drawn room — expect a real eye-catcher above a sofa or dining table.
