Papyrus Wallcovering collection CMO Paris

Papyrus Wallcovering wallpaper by CMO Paris: woven seagrass for the wall

Papyrus Wallcovering wallpaper brings woven seagrass to your wall, without motif or print. What you see is the structure itself: strands of fibre lying side by side, catching the light differently on each thread. The collection features two patterns in brown tones, from warm mid-brown to dark taupe. In the mood images, the wallpaper forms the background for a weathered wooden bowl, a floor of dark grey stone and a desk of dark wood. This is how CMO Paris shows where this wall covering belongs: in rooms where wood, stone and art do the work.

Patterns in the Papyrus Wallcovering wallpaper collection

Papyrus Tresse wallpaper has the clearer woven structure of the two. Thin horizontal strands are vertically bound at fixed intervals, creating a grid of narrow columns. The colour is mid-brown with dark brown lines, and each strand varies slightly from the next. In the mood image, it hangs next to an abstract work in dark blue and black with beige scratches, a contrast that makes the warm brown stand out even more. Papyrus wallpaper is finer and more linear. The fibres run as thin horizontal stripes across the wall, similar to grasscloth, in dark taupe with lighter beige threads in between. You read it more as a striped surface than as a grid, which makes it calmer behind a desk or in a study.

Papyrus Tresse or Papyrus: choosing CMO Paris wallpaper for your interior

Both patterns from Papyrus Wallcovering by CMO Paris are motif-free, so the wall is about structure and colour. Choose Papyrus Tresse if you want a warmer, visibly woven background next to light oak or a stone floor. Papyrus suits dark wood and light upholstery better, like the desk and grey upholstered chair in the image. Large artworks with a simple frame work well against both fibre walls.
