Prismatic wallpaper collection Arte

Prismatic wallpaper by Arte: fibre walls from plain to geometric

With Prismatic wallpaper you dress a wall in fine fibres that catch the light slightly differently with each drop. The collection by Arte includes five patterns in ramie, raffia and hemp, in earth tones from olive green to golden brown. All five have a linear texture that you only really see when you come closer. The difference lies in the composition. One wall remains plain, the other becomes a puzzle of planes lying in alternating directions. So within one family you can choose between a calm background and a wall that draws attention to itself.

Patterns in the Prismatic wallpaper collection

Gradient wallpaper is the most serene of the five: a plain olive green wall of narrow ramie fibres, on which the vertical drop seams and small tonal variations per drop are part of the design. Rutile wallpaper lays wide strips of hand-woven raffia diagonally in a herringbone-like pattern, in shades from dark brown to golden brown. With Refraction wallpaper the scale becomes larger. Coarse raffia strips with fine lines form triangles, rectangles and semicircles in grey-green, beige and gold, so that a corner with two papered walls becomes one continuous composition. Reflect wallpaper works with narrow, hand-dyed raffia strips, inlaid into a geometric pattern inspired by diamonds. Diffuse wallpaper is the most open: a loose weave of undyed hemp yarn, allowing the colour of the base surface to show through.

Combining Arte wallpaper with stone, bouclé and brass

In the images you can see how well the fibres go together with solid materials. In front of the olive green Gradient stand travertine and veined marble. Rutile gets a white bouclé sofa and hammered metal, Refraction a fluffy white armchair on a golden base and a bronze side table. Light, soft furniture contrasts with the wall, while brass and bronze pick up the golden tones in the fibres. This way Prismatic wallpaper becomes the foundation for a room full of tactile materials.
