Rayures Jumelles wallpaper by Elitis: stripes and relief in one colour

With Rayures Jumelles wallpaper, a wall takes its shape from lines rather than from a motif. Elitis gives the three patterns in this collection a vertical structure and keeps them monochrome. There is no second colour to draw attention, only the play of ridge, flat surface and shadow. The difference lies in the depth: from dense relief to an almost smooth wall. This lets you choose, within one family, how much texture you want to see on the wall, in dusty pink, light grey or deep aubergine.

Patterns in the Rayures Jumelles wallpaper collection

With Pilastre wallpaper, narrow ridges are set close together. They run without interruption over the full height, in solid dusty pink. In the photo, it covers the wall under a staircase with wooden treads, where the rhythm of the stripe picks up the angular line of the steps. Colonne wallpaper uses a similar fine ridge, but breaks it up with smooth vertical strips. This creates wide panels that stand side by side like columns, here in light grey behind a terracotta kitchen island. Parthenon wallpaper goes the other way. The wall in dark aubergine has an almost even, fine texture and derives its depth mainly from the colour. A vertical offset in the wall shows how calmly this pattern fills a large surface.

Combining Elitis wallpaper from Rayures Jumelles in your interior

Because Rayures Jumelles wallpaper stays in one colour, furniture with a distinctive shape is given plenty of room. In the images there are a lilac armchair with a rust-brown throw, a terracotta island with a rounded end and a white brick-built bench. Wood, anthurium and woven rugs recur in all three rooms. If you want movement on the wall, choose the ridges of Pilastre or Colonne. If you're looking for calm, Parthenon is a better fit.
