Rosemore wallpaper by 1838 Wallcoverings: craquelé, tendrils and English garden florals

Rosemore wallpaper brings the English country garden to your walls, with tendrils, leaves and flowers in light, neutral colours. The collection by 1838 Wallcoverings keeps the palette calm: off-white, light grey, taupe and silver, with occasional touches of ochre yellow or gold. What connects the patterns is the fine line work. Thin stems, outlined leaves and hairlines around small shapes run across the entire wall. Alongside the botanical designs, the collection contains more subdued patterns. This way you can give a busier pattern room on one wall and keep the rest of the space quieter.

Patterns in the Rosemore wallpaper collection

Kew wallpaper is the abstract pattern of the series: a dense craquelé of irregular polygons, outlined with cream- to gold-coloured lines on a taupe background. The pattern has no direction and looks like texture from a distance. Milton wallpaper is much airier. Thin silver-grey tendrils with small leaves meander vertically over off-white. Fairhaven wallpaper is the fullest design, with white, spindly flowers accented in ochre yellow among grey-green leaves that run diagonally across the surface. Audley wallpaper has leaves that wind like flowing water, in white on soft grey. Prior Park wallpaper shows a hazy forest scene in grey watercolour. The title pattern Rosemore wallpaper brings together birds and flowers from the English garden. Hampton wallpaper is a damask in a contemporary colour palette, Helmsley wallpaper a calm textured pattern with a hand-painted finish.

Combining 1838 Wallcoverings wallpaper from Rosemore

The colours within Rosemore by 1838 Wallcoverings are closely matched, so the patterns work well side by side. Put Fairhaven on the wall behind a cupboard and choose Kew or Helmsley, which mainly add texture, for the adjacent walls. Milton makes a low room look taller with its vertical tendrils. The images show that the patterns work above sage green metro tiles in the kitchen, but equally well behind a fireplace or chest of drawers.
