Sarape wallpaper collection Coordonne

Sarape wallpaper by Coordonne: woven structures and graphic motifs

Sarape wallpaper by Coordonne looks at woven fibre and textiles from Mexico and South America and translates that to the wall. The palette stays close to the earth: rust brown, ochre, cream and black. Part of the collection is plain and revolves entirely around structure, like basketwork or fine ribs that you only see properly up close. Alongside these are graphic patterns with stepped diamonds and designs with plants and forests. This way, within one Sarape wallpaper collection you can choose a calm background or a wall that becomes the centre of conversation.

Patterns in the Sarape wallpaper collection

Yuca wallpaper is a rust-brown wall of small knots in horizontal rows, like fine basketwork without a motif. Maguey wallpaper works with the same idea in ochre yellow, but with fine vertical ribs. Tule wallpaper also revolves around texture and evokes woven baskets and hats. Andes wallpaper places black stepped diamonds made up of small blocks on a cream background, with ochre-coloured dotted lines between the columns. Zacatecas wallpaper opts for abstract geometric shapes, Mazahua wallpaper for a pattern that imitates embroidery stitches. Camécuaro wallpaper shows a forest with flowing shapes and deep colours, and Aduanero wallpaper a painterly tropical scene full of succulents and exotic leaves. The range continues with Tenango wallpaper, Ágaves wallpaper, Gaban wallpaper, Nopoló wallpaper and Criollo wallpaper.

Sarape by Coordonne in your dining or living area

The images show how the collection behaves in a room. Behind a round wooden table with rush chairs, Yuca gives the dining area a warm, dark background against which framed art stands out well. Andes calls for calm furniture: a brick-built bench, cushions in beige and rust red, rough wood. Cane, stone and orange velvet go well with Maguey. Coordonne wallpaper from this range works as a base around which you build materials and colours.
