Taiga 2 fabric by Casamance: bouclé with wide stripes

The Taiga 2 fabric collection by Casamance revolves around two things: cream bouclé and wide stripes in two colours. In the images you can see this on a low sofa module with bolster cushions and on an armchair with a curved back. The nubby surface of the bouclé gives the fabric depth, even where it's plain. The stripes are bold yet calm, roughly as wide as the cream panels next to them. The setting shows where this Casamance fabric belongs: a room with wood veneer, panel mouldings and a dark blue decorative trim with rosettes.

Patterns in the Taiga 2 fabric collection

The collection comprises three patterns. On the sofa module, Taiga fabric and Toundra fabric come together in one arrangement, with plain cream bouclé on the top bolster cushion and wide vertical panels of grey-green and cream on the seating block. The stripes continue across the front and side and return on the end of the round cushion, finished with green piping. Dvina fabric can be seen on an armchair with metal foot strips. Back and sides are in plain cream bouclé; seat and front have horizontal panels of camel and cream. The camel-coloured stripe is flatter and slightly glossy, making it stand out against the nubby cream. This is how the patterns differ in colour and direction: cool grey-green in vertical panels versus warm camel running across the seat.

Combining Taiga 2 by Casamance with wood and colour

In the images, the fabric sits between dark wood and deep blue. The grey-green ties in with a blue-green ceramic bowl and a beige ribbed carpet, the camel with a mustard-yellow rug on herringbone parquet. You can bring plain and striped together on one piece of furniture, as the armchair shows: plain where the shape speaks, stripes where you want to draw the eye.
