Takara wallpaper collection Arte

Takara wallpaper by Arte: from plain walls to flying cranes

Takara wallpaper by Arte ranges from a plain, quiet wall to a wall full of flying cranes. In between are four patterns with birds, feathers and geometric designs. What binds them is their textile character: woven paper, a suede-like softness or embroidery on fabric. The differences lie in scale and visual language. A small zigzag pattern in beige next to a large figurative design on terracotta red shows the full range of the Takara wallpaper collection. This way, you can choose calm in the background or a wall that drives the conversation in the room.

Patterns in the Takara wallpaper collection

Noble wallpaper is plain and looks off-white to light cream, with the softness of suede. It creates a wall that recedes, allowing wood, raffia and rattan in the room to take the floor. Harmony wallpaper has a small zigzag pattern in horizontal stripes, tone-on-tone in greige, beige and off-white, on naturally woven paper. Up close you see the weave structure, from a distance a calm, rhythmic surface. Crane wallpaper is the statement piece: white cranes with blue and ochre-coloured wings fly between peony-like flowers over a terracotta-red ground, embroidered on cotton and linen. In Air wallpaper, tropical birds criss-cross in all directions. Spirit wallpaper appears to be a regular geometric pattern, until you see the unexpected deviations. Feather wallpaper translates feathers into a graphic, airy motif. These three are made on woven paper, giving them a fine texture.

Combining Takara wallpaper in your interior

In the images you see how the patterns work with their surroundings. Noble gains character from natural materials: a tree trunk table, a raffia wall decoration, a green rug. Harmony suits a glossy black sideboard and a brass accent. Crane holds its own next to black furniture, a cognac-coloured chair and a grey concrete floor, making the red stand out even more. This is how Arte wallpaper lets you choose how much the wall itself gets to say.
