Tales of Maghreb wallpaper collection Mind the Gap

Tales of Maghreb wallpaper by Mind the Gap with narrative scenes

The Tales of Maghreb wallpaper tells its stories with horses, gazelles, peacocks and domed pavilions. Mind the Gap depicts them in the style of old miniature paintings, on a warm ground of ochre, saffron or cream. Palms, cypresses and tulips fill the space between the figures. The figurative patterns differ mainly in composition: strict mirrored bands, a dense all-over pattern or loose scenes along a winding path. In addition, there are calmer designs with stripes, so you can alternate a narrative wall with a more peaceful background.

Patterns in the Tales of Maghreb wallpaper collection

On Yennayer wallpaper black horses with red saddles rear between wheel rosettes, falcons, swans and fan palms, in vertical bands on ochre yellow. Algerian Tale wallpaper is denser and busier: gazelles, leopards, lions and turtles hide among tulips and cypresses on cream. Maghreb wallpaper places pavilions with pink domes, dancers and running dogs along a white path on saffron yellow. Peacocks among palms can be found on Erfoud wallpaper, women in traditional clothing among flowers on Maghrebian Folktale wallpaper and architectural columns on Majorelle Garden wallpaper. If you're looking for stripes, choose Mouassine wallpaper with monochrome bands or Berber Stripes wallpaper, which references Berber rugs. The series is completed with Fez Medina wallpaper, Carnival of Maghreb wallpaper and Arabian Decorative wallpaper.

Combining Tales of Maghreb by Mind the Gap with ikat and brass

In the photos, the wallpaper is accompanied by ikat cushions, a kilim, a suzani throw and brass lamps. These patterns don't fight with the wall, they talk back. If you want more calm, place a plain piece in front of the wall, such as a green leather chesterfield or a sideboard with rattan doors. A copper pitcher, a palm or a bowl of oranges completes the Tales of Maghreb wallpaper.
