Textured Tales wallpaper by Tissage Mahieu: plain walls with a woven structure

With Textured Tales wallpaper you choose a wall that draws its character from texture rather than from a pattern. The three designs in this collection by Tissage Mahieu are plain and show a fine woven structure with a horizontal thread direction. Up close you see slubs, lighter weft threads and mélange tones. From a distance the wall reads as one calm surface. The colour palette stays within earth tones: taupe, brown, beige and grey. Raking light from the side or from above brings out that texture most clearly, as the mood images show.

Designs in the Textured Tales wallpaper collection

Ashram wallpaper is the coarsest of the three. Horizontal slubs and lighter weft threads run across a taupe to light brown base, giving the wall a visibly woven character. In the image it forms the backdrop to a branch with red berries, a white dented jug vase and a caramel-coloured stool. Lustreloom wallpaper has a softer mélange and a slight sheen. In the corner setup you see it in a darker brown on one wall and a lighter beige on the other, with a wooden chair and a chessboard on a round table in front of it. Bilbao wallpaper has the finest line structure and shifts the palette towards grey and blue-grey, with interwoven beige threads that keep the colour warm. Next to an aluminium chair and a wicker pendant lamp, that cool tone comes into its own.

Combining Textured Tales wallpaper in your interior

Because all three designs are plain, this Tissage Mahieu wallpaper works well as a background for objects with a distinctive shape, such as dented ceramics or a piece of furniture in wood or aluminium. If you want warmth, Ashram and Lustreloom are the obvious choices. If you're looking for a cooler base next to metal or light wood, Bilbao fits better. Pay attention to the light when furnishing, because it determines how much of the thread structure you see.
