The Unfinished Works fabric by Morris & Co: scrolls, leaf trails and stripes

With The Unfinished Works fabric you bring flowers, leaves and stripes into your home, all in muted tones where green and blue recur throughout. The images show the fabrics in use: as a tablecloth under a set table, as a cushion on a sofa by the window and as a curtain falling to the floor. What distinguishes the patterns is above all the scale. You choose between large scrolling florals that fill an entire surface, medium-sized leaf trails and narrow stripes with a fine dotted texture. So this Morris & Co fabric works just as well on a table as at the window.

The Scrolling Tulip fabric sets sage-green acanthus leaves and pink tulips on a burgundy ground. The Oak & Blossom Weave fabric shows oak leaves and blossom in blue-green trails on cream. The Woodford Stripe fabric keeps to narrow stripes in blue-grey and petrol. In the images you can see how the scales work together. On the sofa, a cushion in Oak & Blossom Weave lies between floral cushions, on a checked fabric with blue leaf scrolls and a mustard-yellow stripe.
