Tribus wallpaper collection Elitis

Tribus wallpaper by Elitis: natural fibres on the wall

Tribus wallpaper is all about the fibre itself. In this collection by Elitis you see sisal, raffia and arrowroot with the weave structure remaining visible on the wall: fine horizontal threads, small colour variations per drop and seams that stay in view. Some of the patterns are plain and rely entirely on that texture, in dark brown or olive green. Other patterns add a design on top, from large squares to stripes and embroidery. So within one collection you can choose between a calm background and a wall that draws attention.

Patterns in the Tribus wallpaper collection

Favoris wallpaper is dark brown with lighter threads running through it. In the photo it covers a floor-to-ceiling fitted wardrobe, making the doors blend into the wall. Sisal wallpaper has the same fine horizontal structure in olive green and khaki, with slight colour variations per drop. Sisal Metallique wallpaper combines hand-woven sisal with a metallic backing that has a soft sheen. Grasscloth wallpaper is plain and coarsely woven from arrowroot. Carthagene wallpaper adds large vertical stripes on sisal. Comporta wallpaper features a checkerboard of cream and ochre squares in raffia, with round shapes whose edges blur as in ikat. Itza wallpaper shows an abstract design on a panel and Samarkand wallpaper an embroidered pattern with lots of movement. Iskandar wallpaper and Lazgi wallpaper complete the range.

Tribus by Elitis in bedroom and living room

The images show how widely you can use this Elitis wallpaper. The brown Favoris appears in the bedroom alongside an orange-red checked throw and a cream linen curtain. In the living room, the olive-green Sisal forms the backdrop for cushions in ochre, brown and green velvet. With Comporta, terracotta tiles, white plaster and light wood complement the warm squares.
