Mysuru wallpaper by Arte: tropical scenes on a woven structure

The Mysuru wallpaper by Arte revolves around two things: a visible horizontal fibre structure and tropical imagery of palms and banana leaves. The three patterns share that base, but each interprets it differently. One lets the structure itself speak in light grey-green. Another draws an entire landscape on it, and the third fills the wall densely with leaves. The colours range from cool and light to warm ochre and deep brown. So within one collection you can choose between a calm background and a wall that draws attention to itself.

Three patterns in the Mysuru wallpaper collection

Mandya wallpaper is plain. Fine, irregular fibre lines run horizontally across a light grey-green wall. Without a motif, all attention remains on the structure, making it the calm foundation of the collection. Nilaya wallpaper is a full-wall panel design of three vertical sections, each framed by a border with a small dot pattern. Within those sections stand palms, banana plants with bunches, houses on stilts and low shrubs, drawn as cream-coloured lines on ochre. Aranya wallpaper has no frames. Large banana and palm leaves overlap each other in a continuous pattern, built up from fine parallel lines in copper pink on dark brown.

Combining Mysuru wallpaper in your interior

Mandya works well behind statement furniture and art, like the walnut sideboard with marbled doors in the photo. Nilaya calls for a wall where you can see the panorama in its entirety, for example in a hallway or opposite a doorway. Aranya comes into its own next to warm wood, such as panelling. With this Arte wallpaper you decide whether the wall forms the background or becomes the centrepiece of the room.
