Racines wallpaper collection Casamance

Racines wallpaper by Casamance: palms, geometry and woven texture

The Racines wallpaper collection by Casamance revolves around earthy colours and walls that look like textile. Ochre, sand, grey-blue and deep green return time and again, sometimes in a drawn palm, sometimes in a clean geometric grid, sometimes only in a fine stripe. Together the patterns form a family in which you can place a bold pattern next to a quiet wall. The mood images show how that works: a pattern on one wall, next to it a plain surface, and furniture in travertine, carved wood and ceramic that picks up the earth tones.

Patterns in the Racines wallpaper collection

The pattern Racines wallpaper gives the collection its name. You see vertical chains of octagonal frames in brown and black lines that resemble stitches. Between them are bright green hexagons full of leaf veins, set out on a large scale on a dark green background with linen texture. Dattara wallpaper is figurative: stylised palms with fan-shaped crowns in grey-blue and ochre, in staggered rows on a beige ground. Argania wallpaper works with drawn leaves and branches in light, subdued tones. In Skoura wallpaper there's a drawn landscape of fan palms and coconut palms in sepia and sand. Skoura Encadré wallpaper places such a palm drawing within a frame, like an old engraving. Safra wallpaper is plain, with fine horizontal stripes that resemble grass weave. That makes it the quiet counterpart to the patterns.

Combining Casamance wallpaper with wood, stone and ceramic

In the images you see how the Racines collection by Casamance pairs with natural materials. Dattara hangs behind a sofa with striped cushions and side tables in travertine. The Racines pattern returns on the shade of a floor lamp with a wooden bead base. Safra forms the background for a console in carved reddish-brown wood. If you choose a pattern, a plain wall in Safra brings calm to the room.
