Gestes wallpaper collection Elitis

Gestes wallpaper by Elitis: the brush on your wall

With Gestes wallpaper you bring the painter's gesture to the wall. Elitis builds this collection around visible brushstrokes: streaks, ragged strokes and layered surfaces that look as if they've just been applied. Many patterns feature warm shades, from mauve and pink to gold, bronze and copper, often with a slight sheen that shifts with the daylight. Yet no pattern is a repetition of the previous one. One lays down a calm tone-on-tone structure, another creates a bold contrast between black and metallic. This way, within Gestes by Elitis, you choose how much movement you want on the wall.

Patterns in the Gestes wallpaper collection

Strate wallpaper lays irregular, overlapping surfaces over each other, like layers of plaster in pink and mauve with lighter, glossy spots. Alongside it, the collection also includes Strate Métal wallpaper. Mesure wallpaper divides the wall into a large grid of squares, each filled with loose strokes in gold and bronze on cream. Navigli wallpaper draws vertical bands of ragged black brushstrokes over a copper-coloured background, across the full height of the wall. In Pulsar wallpaper, wide black and off-white strokes move over a ribbed background, spattered with golden drops. Arsenal wallpaper sets vertical paint streaks against a background of fine horizontal stripes. Topkapi wallpaper shows cloud-like surfaces that blend into each other, matte with metallic accents. Cody wallpaper brings blue, turquoise, ochre and taupe as loose dabs of paint on a light background. Toile wallpaper is the calm counterpoint: a diagonal weave structure with soft vertical stripes in ivory and off-white.

Using Elitis wallpaper with brushstrokes in your interior

How you use this Elitis wallpaper depends on the contrast. The tone-on-tone Strate keeps things calm and suits a bedroom with linen, walnut and a rust-red rug. Mesure and Navigli need space: a long wall by a window overlooking the garden, or a hallway with a concrete floor and a single black chair in front of it. In that case, keep the furnishings simple so the brushstrokes do the work.
