Pianura wallpaper by Omexco: bands, spots and fibre structures

Pianura wallpaper by Omexco is all about linear structure and muted colour. What unites the patterns is a fine hatching of lines and fibres, but the scale varies greatly. Sometimes you see wide colour bands that run across the entire wall, sometimes small spots that lie like pebbles across the surface, and sometimes just a plain surface with fibre structure. The colours stay close to nature: sand beige, taupe, brown and ochre, complemented by dark blue-grey and graphite. This way, within a single Omexco wallpaper collection, you can choose between a wall that draws attention and one that stays in the background.

Patterns in the Pianura wallpaper collection

The biggest statement is made by Isla wallpaper: wide horizontal bands with frayed edges, like paint that has run, from sand beige through taupe and dark brown to red-brown and ochre yellow. Each band is tens of centimetres high, so on a wall or along a staircase you read it as one large image. Moor wallpaper, by contrast, works on a small scale, with a dense pattern of round spots in taupe, grey-brown and beige that follow a subtle directional flow, much like the markings on an animal's coat. Windra wallpaper is a plain dark blue-grey with an irregular horizontal fibre structure that resembles grasscloth. Along the same calm lines are Shelter wallpaper, with horizontal lines in graphite and warm brown tones, and Soren wallpaper, which shows a horizontal weave in beige and sand. Ovatta wallpaper and Polene wallpaper stick to warm sand tones with a woven look. Lorin wallpaper reverses the direction with fine vertical ribs that evoke feather shafts.

Pianura by Omexco in the living room and bedroom

The images show how differently these patterns colour a space. Isla continues along the side of a staircase and, together with a grey armchair and wooden candlesticks, creates a warm seating area next to white-painted brick. Moor forms the backdrop to a cream-coloured vase with eucalyptus and silver-coloured metal. In a bedroom, Windra provides a dark background for a wooden bed, a cream bedspread and a cork stool. So with Pianura wallpaper, you choose the scale first, then the colour.
