Wood Wallcovering 2 wallpaper by CMO Paris: wood as undulating relief and weave

With the Wood Wallcovering 2 wallpaper, your wall takes on the grain, the seams and the relief of wood. CMO Paris combines wood and paper in this collection and works with 3D effects, so the patterns go far beyond a flat wood design. The colours stay close to nature: light honey and oak tones and a cool grey-taupe. On some walls, waves roll over the grain as if the wind had passed through sand. On others, strips cross each other in a tight weave. You choose between an organic and a geometric line, both rooted in the same wood structure.

The Dunes wallpaper has a light wood tone with vertical grain, in which small, irregular ribs run closely together horizontally across the wall. In the lifestyle photo it follows a curved wall along a wooden staircase, and it is precisely there that the ribs begin to move in the raking light. The Ressac wallpaper uses the same wave concept on a larger scale: broad wavy lines and concentric arcs in grey-taupe wood, with fine grain lines and cracks. Fewer lines, more coarsely drawn and therefore calmer at a distance. The Cannage wallpaper takes a different path. Crossed honey-coloured veneer strips create a regular woven pattern with triangular openings, in which a lighter, textile-like background becomes visible. The Futaie wallpaper completes the quartet and also works with natural wood structures.

Wood Wallcovering 2 by CMO Paris in your own interior

Where you hang this CMO Paris wallpaper determines how the relief speaks. Dunes comes into its own on a curved wall or along a staircase, where raking light falls over the ribs. Ressac needs a dark accent, such as a black vase or a glossy block, so that the grey comes to life. Cannage fits in a dining room with a dark wooden table and black chairs, where the weave picks up the straight lines.
