PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Pazling fabric by Dedar with frayed block shapes

Pazling fabric by Dedar lets smooth, off-white shapes slide across a mottled, grainy ground. Rectangles, trapezoids and diagonal strips sit irregularly side by side, as if someone had laid down loose scraps of cloth. Their edges are left unfinished. Loose threads stick out like short fringes and give the weave a tactile relief. The shapes measure a few centimetres. Up close, the design reads as texture. From a few metres away, it becomes a calm interplay of smooth and grainy.

Colours of Pazling fabric: Perle and Ficelle

Both colourways use the same off-white shapes. The difference lies in the ground. In Perle it is a light grey and white mélange, so the shapes almost dissolve and the relief of the frayed edges does the work. Ficelle has a mottled sand-beige base. Against it, the white shapes stand out more clearly and the fabric takes on a warmer tone. Perle suits cool daylight and grey tones, while Ficelle pairs with wood, clay or warm white.

Pazling fabric by Dedar in your interior

Because the colours are so close together, this Dedar fabric speaks mainly through texture. Raking light catches the fringes and the grain of the ground, so a surface that looks plain comes alive on closer inspection. This gives you calm without making a room feel flat. The pattern is abstract and irregular, and it combines well with clean-lined furniture. You can find more designs from this Italian house in the Dedar fabric collection.

Maintenance of curtain and furniture fabrics

To keep your curtains looking beautiful for a long time, regular and careful maintenance is important.

Avoid direct sunlight as much as possible, as this can cause discoloration over time. TIP! Make sure your curtains are lined; this protects the main fabric.

For light soiling, you can freshen up the fabric with a slightly damp cloth. Do not use cleaning agents or excessive water. Always treat stains carefully and test any cleaner on an inconspicuous area of the fabric first.

Recommended maintenance products:

For curtain fabrics we recommend James products:

  • James Interior Cleaner – suitable for both natural and synthetic fabrics. Ideal for freshening curtains without damaging the fiber structure.
  • James Stain Wonder – helps remove stains, for example from contact or air pollution.

Apply the product to a white terrycloth towel, not directly onto the fabric, and dab gently. Let the fabric dry naturally, preferably out of direct sunlight.

Maintenance of furniture fabric

Furniture fabrics such as chair, sofa and cushion covers require regular care for a long life and a fresh appearance.

Vacuum the surface weekly with a soft brush attachment to remove dirt, hair, and dust. Rotate cushions regularly to prevent uneven wear and tear, and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.

In case of stains, it's important to act quickly: blot immediately with a clean, slightly damp cloth (do not rub). For safe and effective cleaning, use James products, specially developed for upholstery fabrics:

  • James Interior Cleaner – freshens furniture upholstery and removes light soiling without damaging the fibers.
  • James Stain Wonder – ideal for removing stains caused by drinks, food remains or pets.

For a thorough cleaning or to remove stubborn stains, it's wise to have the fabric professionally cleaned. This will keep the fabric beautiful, supple, and fresh-colored.
