The Dazzle wallpaper Daisy James

The Dazzle wallpaper by Daisy James: undulating grid in black and sand beige

The Dazzle wallpaper sets your wall in motion. Black lines ripple in narrow bands across a light ground, divided into large square panels that each take their own direction. Here the pattern curves away, there it twists into a swirl or tapers to a point. Because the brushstroke remains visible and the lines are slightly irregular, the design looks lively rather than mechanical. Up close you see a matt, chalky texture. From a distance the grid plays tricks on your eyes.

Colours of The Dazzle wallpaper and what goes with them

The Beige colourway combines deep black with a warm sand to camel beige. The contrast is pronounced, but the warm ground keeps it calm enough for an entire wall. For the remaining walls, choose an off-white or a sand tone taken from the ground and let the pattern do the work. Walnut and other dark woods are a good match, as are travertine, leather and coarsely woven linen in natural. Black accents in metal or ceramics echo the lines throughout the rest of the room.

Where Daisy James wallpaper comes into its own

Because of the large scale of the grid, this design needs space. It works well on a long wall in the living room, the wall behind the bed or in a dining room where you see the pattern from a distance. In a narrow hallway it quickly becomes restless.
