Herman wallpaper Sandberg

Herman wallpaper by Sandberg in Misty Blue

Herman wallpaper brings a soft country check to your wall, painted as if someone had gone over fabric with watercolour. The bands run in two directions, with cloudy patches and edges that are never quite straight. Where they cross, the colour deepens, and fine lines that look hand-drawn run through the lighter areas. Because the motif is small and repeats regularly, the wall reads as a calm texture from a distance. Only up close do you see the brushwork.

Colours of Herman wallpaper: Misty Blue

Misty Blue combines light grey-blue in two strengths with off-white, crossed by fine beige-grey lines. The effect is cool but not cold. Off-white paint on window frames and skirting boards keeps the look light. A deep slate-grey shade on cabinets or a door makes the check stand out instead. Light oak and pale natural stone tie in with the cloudy bands, and linen in natural or soft blue completes the look. Brushed metal or brass provides a warm counterpoint.

Sandberg wallpaper for kitchen, bedroom and children's room

In a kitchen or utility room, the check adds homeliness without becoming busy. The small motif also works well in a bedroom, children's room or narrow hallway, because you can cover every wall without the space feeling smaller.
