Founder Patrick Boulanger started Elitis with one question: why does wallpaper feel so flat? His answer became an obsession with texture. Elitis was one of the first brands to apply real raffia stalks to a non-woven backing, and that craftsmanship is still in everything today — from the coarse weaves of the Raw Raffia collection to the fine gold-leaf effect of Kintsugi. Production largely remains in France: plenty of handwork, small series.
