Alaya wallpaper by Arte: silk, mountain villages and watercolour forests

Alaya wallpaper by Arte takes you through landscapes from Asia, from the trees along the Silk Route to mountain villages in the Himalayas. This Arte wallpaper moves between two extremes. On one side there's a calm texture in sandy beige, on the other a forest that flows in watercolour across the entire wall. What binds the patterns is a visible textile-like texture and a palette that stays mainly in earthy tones: sand, brown, ochre and old rose. Up close you read the texture, from a distance the image.

Patterns in the Alaya wallpaper collection

Katan Silk wallpaper is the most restrained pattern: large rectangular blocks in staggered formation, run through with fine vertical stripes that mimic the irregularities of Katan silk. In sandy beige it forms a calm backdrop for distinctive furniture. Banyan wallpaper is a panoramic wall image without visible repetition. White trunks with branches stand in front, thinner trunks behind, and the canopies flow into pink, magenta, burgundy and ochre with accents of olive and dark green. With Manali wallpaper, large leaf shapes overlap a repeating pattern of stylised mountains, clouds and small houses, in brown, cream, old rose and grey-green with a hint of light blue. Saranda wallpaper depicts hills and trees under a cloudy sky, in the same Asian visual language as Manali.

Combining Alaya by Arte in your interior

In the images, Katan Silk stands behind rust-orange armchairs and a fan palm, while Banyan fills the wall behind a terracotta velvet corner sofa. Manali gets ochre-yellow bouclé chairs and dark wood as a counterbalance. If you choose calm, Katan Silk works on a whole wall. If you want the wall to lead the conversation, Banyan gives you a complete forest. This way you can use Alaya wallpaper differently in every room.
