Brisbane Textures fabric by Camengo: brown, ecru and graphic structure

The Brisbane Textures fabric collection by Camengo revolves around woven patterns in brown, beige and ecru, with graphic motifs whose edges are never quite crisp. Blocks, lines and short stripes appear hand-drawn. In the images you see a round swivel chair and a curved armchair amid walnut, concrete and terracotta, and a curtain with an interplay of lines next to a white, coarsely woven sofa. Here you choose between upholstery fabric and curtain fabric within one colour family. If you love warm, earthy tones but don't want a room to look flat, you'll find enough texture in this Camengo fabric to run your hand over.

Patterns in Brisbane Textures fabric: from chequerboard to scroll

Ardoza fabric creates a chequerboard of rectangular blocks in rust brown and ecru. The edges fray as in ikat, and the fluffy weave turns a round armchair into a soft object. Telaio fabric works on a smaller scale, with short, irregular stripes in dark brown and ecru and a relief you can see and feel. Pyra fabric goes for the large scale. Arcs, right angles and parallel lines run across a beige, linen-like ground, with white lines in relief and thin brown lines in between. On a curtain, that pattern has room to breathe. Litha fabric lays a scroll pattern of cream-white motifs on a sandy beige background with a lightly mottled texture. Wari fabric keeps it calm, with irregular horizontal stripes in beige and cream.

Combining Brisbane Textures fabric in your interior

Because the patterns share the same earthy colour family, from rust brown to cream, you can use them side by side without the look becoming busy. Let scale do the work: the large line pattern of Pyra on the curtain, the smaller blocks or stripes on an armchair and a plain, textured sofa in between. The photos show what goes with it. Walnut, concrete, a terracotta curtain and a woven pouf bring out the warm side of Brisbane Textures by Camengo.
