Caspian wallpaper by Sanderson: animal scenes, ikat and plain walls

Caspian wallpaper by Sanderson brings together figurative scenes, small-scale geometrics and plain walls in one collection. On Pamir Garden, tigers and lions move between stylised trees, antelopes leap and deer and peacocks rest by the water among water lilies. Everything is drawn in the style of an Indian miniature, on a jade green background with accents of blue, orange and beige. In the photo it covers the kitchen wall above a white marble worktop, where the grey-green cabinets pick up the colour of the pattern. If you're looking for less movement on the wall, you'll also find understated designs in the same collection.

Patterns in the Caspian wallpaper collection

Besides Pamir Garden wallpaper, there are other patterns with a distinct subject. Andhara wallpaper fills the wall with birds of paradise, dragonflies, peonies and butterflies, in a colour gradient over a mottled background. Cantaloupe wallpaper shows exotic fruit with influences from damask and botanical drawings, and Hakimi wallpaper works with stylised pods, flowers and leaves as large motifs. Ikat returns in Kasuri wallpaper, a two-tone pattern with a crepe effect, and in the striped Ishi wallpaper. Pinjara Trellis wallpaper is a small diamond-shaped trellis, densely repeated in taupe and cream. In the bedroom photo, it forms a calm background for an ochre yellow headboard. Soho Plain wallpaper keeps the wall plain in warm grey-beige. Also part of the collection are Kalapi wallpaper, Anaar Tree wallpaper, Caspian Strie wallpaper and Madurai wallpaper.

Combining Sanderson wallpaper: from animal scene to plain wall

Because the patterns vary so widely, they work well side by side within Sanderson's Caspian collection. Put a figurative design on one wall and let Soho Plain or Pinjara Trellis keep the rest of the room calm. The photos show how this Sanderson wallpaper goes with wood, marble, brass and ceramic. The jade green of Pamir Garden suits muted cabinets, while the neutral patterns can handle a colourful curtain or rug.
